Summer Earn & Learn Program

This annual 6-week program benefits our community by providing a safe and fun learning experience to youth ages 13-18 and provides hands-on conservation projects to benefit our local Indian River Lagoon. The annual cost is around $45,000 and your whole or partial sponsorship would fund:

Food for 15 students
Student Stipends
Support staff (outside of LGI's regular staff)
Rental vans for field trips
Instructor fees

Make a Green Noise Environmental Justice Forum

This is a community forum we hold twice a year (March and October) to provide a voice to the community on environmental justice issues as well as our current initiatives. The annual cost is around $35,000 and your whole or partial sponsorship would fund:

Stipends for community participants

Crane Creek Restoration Project - Construction

This project is located at 823 Brothers Ave, Melbourne, FL. We are developing a community food forest for the South Melbourne community. Construction and Contractor costs are expected to be between $150,000 and $200,000. Your whole or partial sponsorship would fund:
