🌱 Little Growers Youth Programs
At Little Growers Inc., we empower youth through hands-on experiences in gardening, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. Our programs are designed to cultivate knowledge, leadership, and a deep connection to the environment.
🧒 Youth Garden Club
Ages: 5–18 (Children aged 3–4 may participate with a parent or guardian)
Schedule: 1st and 3rd Fridays, 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM
Seasons: September–December & January–May
Location: 823 Brothers Ave, Melbourne, FL 32901
Our Youth Garden Club offers bi-monthly workshops where participants learn about planting, harvesting, and sustainable gardening practices. Activities include journaling planting timelines, tracking harvests, and exploring healthy recipes using garden produce.
🌿 Introduction to Permaculture
In partnership with Beyond Organic Design Inc., this program introduces youth to permaculture principles and urban agriculture. Through interactive sessions, participants engage in:

These skills contribute to transforming our community garden into an urban sustainability demonstration site and outdoor classroom.

Our Summer Earn & Learn program offers a paid, immersive experience focusing on:

Participants engage in field trips, workshops, and community projects, earning stipends while gaining valuable skills.
👥 LGI Youth Club Council
Youth who complete the Summer Earn & Learn program are eligible to be nominated or elected to the LGI Youth Club Council, our student-led leadership body.

Vote on real decisions impacting youth programs

Represent peers and support community engagement events

Advise on programming, design projects, and special events
Two youth are also appointed each year to serve as Student Board Members on the LGI Executive Organizational Board—ensuring youth voices help guide our nonprofit’s mission and direction.
