Summer Earn & Learn Program

This annual 6-week program benefits our community by providing a safe and fun learning experience to youth ages 13-18 and provides hands-on conservation projects to benefit our local Indian River Lagoon. The annual cost is around $45,000 and your whole or partial sponsorship would fund:

Food for 15 students
Student Stipends
Support staff (outside of LGI's regular staff)
Rental vans for field trips
Instructor fees

Make a Green Noise Environmental Justice Forum

This is a community forum we hold twice a year (March and October) to provide a voice to the community on environmental justice issues as well as our current initiatives. The annual cost is around $35,000 and your whole or partial sponsorship would fund:

Food for 50 guests
Student stipends for 13 students
Stipends for community participants
Guest speaker honourariums
Printing & Postage
Event Space

Crane Creek Restoration Project - Construction

This project is located at 823 Brothers Ave, Melbourne, FL. We are developing a community food forest for the South Melbourne community. Construction and Contractor costs are expected to be between $150,000 and $200,000. Your whole or partial sponsorship would fund:

Pervious parking lot
Rainwater catchment system
Irrigation System
Covered pavillion & Outdoor Kitchen
ADA accessible walking path
Raised Garden Beds
Fence
Irrigation System
Electrical setup
Design, Engineering, & Permitting for a 1000 sq ft community building

Crane Creek Restoration Project - Supplies

Once critical infrastructure is in place at the Crane Creek Restoration Project, we will begin planting activities and will need supplies, tools, and plants to get started. The startup costs are expected to be around $20,000 and your whole or partial sponsorship would fund:
