Community organizations often lack a streamlined system for recruiting volunteers, collecting data, managing workflows and rewarding contributors. ORGO is on a mission to provide a user-friendly interface to simplify this process, all while regenerating the planet by gamifying land stewardship and enabling decentralized governance of community assets. With ORGO, volunteers can quickly find the Little Growers Inc. community, its list of tasks in need of completion and earn rewards by completing these tasks. Little Growers Inc. will gain insight from the data collected including volunteer hours worked, progress tracking of tasks, and the measured completion time of assignments, as well as ecological data including soil and water quality. Participants are rewarded accordingly in the form of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), badges and ORGO Earth Points (EPs). They are also incentivized to vote on protocols with governance tokens. ORGO will empower Little Growers to self-organize and take control of their environment while promoting community engagement and education.

 

Little Growers has broken down the development process into four phases. ORGO will ease Little Growers’ organizational burdens throughout each of these phases. Phase 1 is focused on identifying and mapping potential concerns within the site area and ORGO will be used to log data and volunteer hours. Phase 2 will consist of collecting and testing soil and groundwater samples. With ORGO community organizers can assign individual tasks to volunteers, including distributing information on the environmental issues at hand and asking property owners for permission to test their wells, and volunteers can upload this data directly into ORGO. In Phase 3, ORGO will be used to analyze the collected data. In phase 4, QR codes will be installed throughout the community, linking to the current status of the soil and water data and how this data has changed over time, tasks in need of completion, as well as information on environmental processes and the implications of the communities collective action.
